Deemed “for the meltingly beautiful tone, flawless centered intonation and an ironclad technique” (The New York Times), the legendary cellist Qin Li-wei will join hands with Hong Kong String Orchestra in this romantic fall, proudly presents enchanting performance on 29 November (Tuesday). The night sparkles with Klātbūtne Concerto for Strings and Cello of Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks, and it will be the premiere in Hong Kong. Meanwhile Virtuoso Violinist Yao Jue reveals her extraordinary outbursts with Bach’s Concerto in E Major. Be enlivened throughout ancient and modern, sure to be beautiful in every way. With Qin’s expressive cello,he will lead audiences down the delightful pathways of the most breathtaking musicality and flawless technique. He is going to introduce us the ravishing piece of a Latvian composer famed for the moving harmonies that received flattering reviews from all around the western world; Pēteris Vasks stands out among his contemporaries as an especially versatile composer, writing in different timbres and tuningsto create hugely varied sound worlds. In the coming concert, Qin will perform Vask’s Klātbūtne Concerto for Strings and Cello, the very fine andsuperbly crafted piece will be bringing alive in the concerto’s perfect cadenzas. Audiences can feel the spiritual introspection Vask’s surely aimingfor, and be mystified and indulged in a softy gorgeous experience. In the same concert, Virtuoso Violinist Yao Jue assoloist will lead Hong Kong String Orchestra to perform Bach’s Concerto in E Major. Full of intricate musings by the violin and a free-flowing, melancholy solo melody above a repetitive bass motif will be sandwiched between exuberant moods.Yao’s performance can definitely capture your heart.
